How is everyone?

今週紹介するのは、砧校に勤務するイギリス出身のTom(トム)です。

スケボーで通勤する彼はDJでもあり、体の半分以上が音楽でできているのではないかと思うほど、楽しい人です。
ふんわりと優しく包み込みながらも、ティーチャーとして子どもたちの引きつけ方やティーチングスキルは一流です！

キッズアイランドに来る前は何をしていましたか？
Tom.Before I moved to Japan I was a teacher in Shanghai for 6 years. I worked in a bi-lingual kindergarden.

趣味はなんですか？
T. My hobbies are making music and skateboarding.

好きな食べ物はなんですか？
T. My favourite food is pancakes with maple syrup!

子どもたちにどんなことをスクールで経験してもらいたいですか？
T. I want the kids to feel happy and excited everyday ! It’s a time to learn how to make friends, play with others and to be curious about everything that’s new and exciting ! Learning is best when it is done through having fun, interactive activities, singing songs and art activities. ☺️

英語上達のアドバイスをください！
T. A small bit of practice everyday is really helpful, even if it’s just saying a few sentences, it refreshes the language the kids have learned. Maybe the kids can read their favourite stories in English too and also watch a TV show they like in English as well as Japanese 🐱

一番好きな日本語を教えてください！
T. My favourite Japanese word is “花火” because I love fireworks ! (And because I don’t know any fancy words lol)

トムはまるで少年のように、自分の好きなことをいつも変わらずに楽しんでいます。
