新学期も始まりいかがお過ごしでしょうか？

いつも、個性溢れる愉快なファースト・ティーチャー(講師陣)をあたたかく見守り、信頼し、大切なお子様を預けていただいてること、心から感謝しております。

感染症対策もあり、皆さんとなかなか話をする機会も取れないのですが、もっと彼らのことを知ってもらいたいと思い、私の方から週替わりで講師の紹介をさせていただきます。
インタビュー形式でご紹介しますので是非お子様とご家族と共有してください！

今週ご紹介するのは、駒沢校に勤務するスコットランド出身のGraham(グラハム)です。

私より大人っぽく見えますが、講師の中では最年少です。とっても温厚な性格で、カラオケが大好き！(早く一緒にいける日が待ち遠しいです・・）美声の持ち主なんですよ！

それでは、

キッズアイランドに来る前は何をしていましたか？
Graham. Before I came to Kids Island I was a carer for kids with disabilities in my home country of Scotland, UK.

趣味はなんですか？
G. My hobbies are Kickboxing (Muay Thai), which I’ve done for about 7 years, and chess, which my Dad taught me to play as a kid.

好きな食べ物はなんですか？
G. My favourite food is, of course, Haggis! It’s our national traditional food in Scotland and it’s really delicious. If you don’t know haggis, you should look it up online!

子どもたちにどんなことをスクールで経験してもらいたいですか？
G. In my classes, I want to encourage kids to have as much fun and be as open as possible, I think that they will be more open to speaking and using English if they are relaxed and comfortable in the classroom.

英語上達のアドバイスをください！
G. My advice for speaking English is just to be confident and try not to worry about making mistakes! You will be amazed at how much you can communicate if you focus on what you can understand!

一番好きな日本語を教えてください！
G. My favourite word in Japanese is 面倒くさい, even though maybe it’s not a good thing! It’s a very useful word and there’s nothing in English which is a perfect translation. I think our closest phrase is “I can’t be bothered”, but we don’t have a single word!
