We did water play at park. Art activity: Melting ice game.

2020/July/28

Today we learned about toys: the way toys move, such as flying toys, floating toys, rolling and spinning toys.
After that, we enjoyed making our own moving toys! Good job!

2020/July/29

Today we learned about pirates! We learned all about what they do, where they come from and what kinds of ships they use! We also painted our own big ship! During park play time we also found a small grasshopper and were able to examine it closely! Well done everybody!

2020/July/30

Today we had a great time doing expression class. We played many games. Freeze and don’t move! Pretend to eat funny foods, and eat the stinky stinky soup! We also attempted to play frog in the pond! Well done everyone!In literacy time everyone did their best reading difficult words and singing ABCs. Thank you everyone for the fantastic day at Hillock Open! Look forward to a fun day tomorrow.

Today we did a great job doing a lot of activities today! First we mixed a lot of colours with water and dye! Everyone made beautiful colour mixtures! After lunch we got to make stained glass frames with permanent markers. Every one made great frames with many different colours. Well done today everyone and see you in September!

Today we had water play in the park. For art we made straws and bottle cleaner shapes and letters. Was a great day for everyone.

2020/Aug/4

Today we had water play in the park! Teacher Dean got soaked by the kids! After lunch we had STEM class. Today’s theme was programming. The kids learnt how to give commands(inputs) to a caterpillar toy so that it could reach a goal! Well done today everyone!

Today we had water play and all of the kids soaked Dean! We also found a rainbow lizard and a hello near to where we were playing. After lunch, we had social studies! We learnt about pirates and how they search for gold. The students made two pirates then we played a pirate throwing game. After that we enjoyed doing a treasure hunt! Well done everybody!

2020/Aug/6

Today we had a very fun time during water play because we got to use water bombs! Everyone was great at throwing and everyone got really wet! Today we studied phonics during literacy time and also review the alphabet. In expression class we played dance and freeze. Everyone had a turn at being freeze inspector and it was really fun. Well done everybody!

2020/Aug/7

Today we enjoyed a long water play! We used 111 water balloons! The students were also able to use the teachers water gun! It was so much fun! After lunch, the students did literacy class where they studied phonics and capital letters. Today’s special activity was making an aquarium! First we watched some videos of aquariums, even aquariums with sharks in them! We also made our own lovely aquariums. Make sure you keep an eye or your puyo puyo balls, as they will get very big over the next couple of days. We had extra time at the end of the day so we had a fishing competition. Everyone did a great job.
